Human Values at the Center: TechPreneur Reflects on WISE 12

TechPreneur was proud to take part in the conversations surrounding WISE 12: HUMANITY.IO – Human Values at the Heart of Education, an event that placed one essential idea at the center of the discussion: humanity must come before technology.

For us, this message deeply reflects the way we think about AI in education. The question is no longer simply what AI can do. The more important question is what AI should do, especially when it is being introduced into classrooms, learning environments, and the lives of young people.

Asking the Right Questions About AI in Education

Throughout WISE 12, the conversations around AI were thoughtful, timely, and necessary.

How do we use generative AI while protecting dignity, equity, and critical thinking? How do we make sure these tools support teachers instead of adding pressure to their work? How do we help students explore AI safely, without compromising learning, privacy, or academic integrity?

These are not abstract questions. They are the practical challenges institutions are facing right now as AI becomes more accessible and more powerful.

How This Shapes Noor

At TechPreneur, these same questions guide the development of Noor, our Arabic-first AI learning assistant.

Noor is built to provide responsible, curriculum-aligned support for students and educators. It is designed to help students think through problems rather than simply receive answers, while giving teachers tools that can support planning, guidance, and classroom engagement.

Most importantly, Noor is built with privacy, safety, and educational purpose in mind. We believe AI should amplify the role of educators, not replace it. It should help students grow, not distract them from meaningful learning.

A Needed Dialogue for the Region

We are grateful to Qatar Foundation and WISE for creating a platform where human values and AI are discussed together, not as separate conversations.
