Responsible AI in Higher Education at Horizon Workshop 2026
TechPreneur was honoured to take part in Horizon Workshop 2026, contributing to an important conversation on data storytelling, generative AI, and the future of trusted education systems.
Hosted by Hamad Bin Khalifa University in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the workshop explored how AI can support educational quality while protecting integrity, trust, and learning outcomes.
For TechPreneur, this is one of the most important conversations in education today.
Asking the Hard Questions
AI has the potential to support institutions, educators, and learners in powerful ways. It can help personalize learning, improve access to support, assist with planning, and create new ways to understand educational data.
But in higher education, AI adoption must be handled carefully.
Institutions need to consider academic integrity, accreditation standards, governance, assessment design, data privacy, and the role of human judgment in learning. These are not barriers to innovation. They are the conditions that make innovation trustworthy.
Practitioner Perspectives on AI Governance
During the panel discussion “AI and Academic Accreditation: Applications, Challenges, and Opportunities,” TechPreneur Founder and CEO Eng. Rwdah Al-Subaiey shared practitioner perspectives on responsible governance and thoughtful AI integration.
The discussion, alongside Dr. Reem Al-Mansoori and Dr. Rima Isaifan, focused on how educational institutions can approach AI in a way that is both progressive and responsible.
What stood out most was the honesty in the room. There was real curiosity, real concern, and a shared commitment to getting this right.
